About Robert Zaitooni
Robert Zaitooni possesses more than 30 years of expertise as a transportation infrastructure engineer, serving cities primarily in Florida and Arizona. After completing a degree in civil engineering at the University of Central Florida in 1981, he managed transportation projects for the Cities of Orlando and Ocoee as well as Seminole and Osceola Counties. As a state employee, Robert Zaitooni collaborated on a wide range of infrastructure development projects, including highway improvement, intersection design and construction, traffic signal design and traffic mitigation projects. As a public works and transportation director, Zaitooni was accountable for the planning, budgeting, execution, and overall efficacy of multi-million dollar infrastructure projects in Florida, and he supervised much of the disaster response initiatives for transportation reconstruction amid the devastating 2004 Atlantic hurricane season.
Since 2009, Robert Zaitooni has served as a senior engineering manager for American Traffic Solutions (ATS) in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, Zaitooni collaborates on product and solutions development, ensuring that ATS products and services are compliant with local, state, and federal transportation standards.
When he is not working, Robert Zaitooni enjoys wilderness hiking, traveling, playing soccer, and eating fine food; he also appreciates folk and blues music, action movies, and American football.
